CPD-Accredited Training

We have developed a CPD-accredited training course to help staff gain a better understanding of the young people they work with, so that together we can support change for some of the most vulnerable, hard-to-reach young people.

About this course

We have more than 25 years’ experience working with young people across a range of settings, and we know the impact that challenging behaviour in the classroom can have on staff. It’s stressful. It’s emotionally draining. And it’s often hard to not take it personally. Our training programme aims to decrease disruption within the setting by increasing your understanding of the issues faced by these young people, ultimately helping you to foster more positive engagement with them.

We use a combination of psychology, real-life experience, personal development and practical tips to show you alternative, effective ways of addressing problems and reducing friction and conflict. By understanding what compels outbursts, you’ll be in a better position – and feel more confident – to build positive, respectful relationships with these young people. Not only will this lead to a more pleasant learning environment for the young people in the setting, it will make the setting a more pleasant working environment for you and your teams, thereby decreasing occupational stress, reducing staff turnover and sickness, and increasing team performance.

To find out more about how we can tailor a training programme to meet the needs of your setting, call us on 0161 952 4471 or email info@challenge-me.org.
